These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of QuoteByte, including the QuoteByte website, application, software, documents, templates, AI-assisted features and related services.
QuoteByte is operated by the QuoteByte team. In these Terms, “QuoteByte”, “we”, “our” and “us” refers to the operator of QuoteByte. “You” refers to the person or business using QuoteByte.
By creating an account, accessing QuoteByte, subscribing to QuoteByte, or using any part of the service, you agree to these Terms.
If you use QuoteByte on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on behalf of that business.
1. About QuoteByte
QuoteByte is software designed to help small trade and service businesses create, manage, review and send quotes, job records and related business documents.
QuoteByte may include features for:
- capturing typed or dictated job notes;
- storing customer and job information;
- preparing quote drafts;
- reviewing and editing quote details;
- generating quote PDFs;
- managing business details, GST settings, logos, payment details and quote terms;
- creating or supporting invoice workflows;
- using AI-assisted drafting, structuring or summarising features.
QuoteByte is an administrative and productivity tool. It does not replace your own business judgement, pricing decisions, professional obligations, legal obligations, tax obligations, trade compliance obligations or customer communication responsibilities.
2. Eligibility and business use
QuoteByte is intended for business use.
You must be at least 18 years old to use QuoteByte.
You must not use QuoteByte if you are prohibited from doing so by law or if we have previously suspended or terminated your account for serious misuse.
3. Accounts and access
You may need an account to use QuoteByte.
You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information when creating or maintaining your account.
You are responsible for:
- keeping your login details secure;
- controlling who can access your account;
- ensuring users act within their authority;
- all activity that occurs through your account.
You must tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
We may use approved-user access, invite-only access, trials, waitlists or onboarding controls while QuoteByte is being developed or rolled out.
4. Subscription plans, trials and billing
Some features of QuoteByte require a paid subscription.
Current pricing, trial periods, plan inclusions and billing terms will be displayed on the QuoteByte website, inside the application, or during checkout.
Unless stated otherwise:
- prices are in Australian dollars;
- the first month may be offered free;
- monthly subscription plans may be billed monthly;
- annual subscription plans may be billed annually;
- paid access continues until cancelled, suspended or terminated in accordance with these Terms.
QuoteByte’s current intended pricing is:
- first month free;
- then $14.99 AUD per month;
- no lock-in on monthly plans;
- annual plan: $149 AUD per year.
If the price displayed at checkout differs from the above, the checkout price and plan terms will apply.
We may change pricing or plan inclusions from time to time. If a change affects an existing paid subscription, we will take reasonable steps to give advance notice before the change applies, unless the change is required urgently for legal, security or operational reasons.
5. Payments
Payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider, such as Stripe.
When you pay for QuoteByte, your payment details are provided to the payment provider. QuoteByte does not store full credit card numbers.
We may receive billing-related information, such as:
- name;
- email address;
- billing address;
- subscription status;
- payment status;
- invoice records;
- partial payment identifiers;
- payment provider customer ID;
- plan and renewal details.
You are responsible for ensuring your payment details remain valid.
If payment fails, we may retry payment, notify you, restrict access, suspend paid features or cancel your subscription after a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue.
6. Cancellations
You may cancel your subscription through the method made available in QuoteByte, through the payment portal, or by contacting us.
For monthly subscriptions with no lock-in, cancellation will generally stop future billing at the end of the current billing period.
For annual subscriptions, cancellation will generally stop renewal at the end of the annual billing period.
You may continue to have access to paid features until the end of the billing period already paid for, unless your account is suspended or terminated for breach of these Terms.
7. Refunds and Australian Consumer Law
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable for change of mind, lack of use, business changes, forgotten cancellation, or choosing not to continue using QuoteByte.
However, nothing in these Terms limits, excludes or modifies any right you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.
If QuoteByte fails to meet a consumer guarantee that applies under Australian Consumer Law, you may be entitled to a remedy. Depending on the circumstances, this may include resupply of services, payment of the cost of resupply, cancellation, refund or another remedy required by law.

We may also provide refunds or credits at our discretion where we consider it fair and reasonable.
8. Your business information
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of information you enter into QuoteByte, including:
- business name;
- ABN;
- contact details;
- addresses;
- service areas;
- GST settings;
- prices;
- line items;
- payment details;
- quote terms;
- exclusions;
- warranty statements;
- customer details;
- job notes;
- uploaded files;
- logos;
- any other account or business content.
QuoteByte may help structure, format, draft or generate outputs, but you remain responsible for reviewing and approving all information before relying on it or sending it to customers.
9. Customer and job data
You may enter personal information about your customers into QuoteByte, including names, phone numbers, email addresses, job addresses, job notes, quote details and related records.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to collect, use, disclose and enter that information into QuoteByte.
You must not enter customer information into QuoteByte if:
- you do not have the right to use it;
- it is not reasonably needed for your business purpose;
- it is unlawful, misleading, offensive or unrelated to the service;
- it contains unnecessary sensitive information.
QuoteByte will handle personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and related data documents.
10. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
By using QuoteByte, you agree that personal information may be collected, used, stored, processed and disclosed as described in the Privacy Policy.
You should also review our:
- Sub-processor List;
- Data Retention Statement;
- Security page;
- any applicable Data Processing Addendum.
11. AI-assisted features
QuoteByte may include AI-assisted features that help convert rough notes, job descriptions, customer/job context or other inputs into structured quote content.
AI-assisted features may help with:
- summarising notes;
- turning rough descriptions into clearer quote wording;
- suggesting line item structure;
- drafting exclusions or terms;
- improving readability;
- formatting quote content.
AI-assisted outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, unsuitable, unclear, outdated or inappropriate for your specific circumstances.
You are responsible for checking all AI-assisted outputs before relying on them, saving them, sending them to a customer or using them in your business.
QuoteByte does not guarantee that AI-assisted outputs will be:
- accurate;
- complete;
- legally compliant;
- tax compliant;
- trade compliant;
- commercially appropriate;
- suitable for a specific customer, job or industry.
You should not enter unnecessary sensitive personal information into AI-assisted features.
12. Quotes, invoices and business documents
QuoteByte may help you create quotes, invoices and related business documents.
You are responsible for checking all documents before sending or using them, including:
- customer details;
- business details;
- ABN;
- GST settings;
- descriptions;
- line items;
- quantities;
- pricing;
- totals;
- discounts;
- deposits;
- payment details;
- due dates;
- exclusions;
- terms;
- legal wording;
- tax information;
- trade-specific requirements;
- any customer-specific obligations.
QuoteByte does not provide legal, tax, accounting, building, trade, engineering, financial or compliance advice.
You should obtain professional advice where required.
13. Acceptable use
You must not misuse QuoteByte.
You agree not to:
- use QuoteByte for unlawful, fraudulent, misleading or harmful purposes;
- interfere with the operation, security or availability of QuoteByte;
- attempt to access systems, accounts or data without permission;
- bypass access controls, rate limits or security features;
- upload viruses, malicious code or harmful files;
- scrape, copy, harvest or extract data without permission;
- impersonate another person or business;
- enter information you do not have the right to use;
- use QuoteByte to send spam, scams or deceptive communications;
- reverse engineer, copy, resell or commercially exploit QuoteByte without permission;
- use QuoteByte in a way that may damage QuoteByte, other users, customers, systems or third-party providers.
We may take reasonable action if we believe your use creates legal, security, operational or reputational risk.
14. Fair use and service limits
QuoteByte may apply reasonable usage limits, storage limits, file limits, AI usage limits, rate limits or other technical controls.
These limits help protect the service, prevent misuse, manage costs and keep QuoteByte reliable for users.
We may change limits from time to time where reasonably necessary.
If your usage is unusually high or creates risk, we may contact you to discuss an appropriate plan, restrict usage, or suspend access where reasonably necessary.
15. Security responsibilities
We take reasonable steps to protect QuoteByte and user information.
You are responsible for:
- using strong passwords;
- keeping account access secure;
- limiting access to trusted people;
- promptly telling us about suspected unauthorised access;
- keeping your own devices, browsers and email accounts secure.
No software, network, hosting environment or electronic storage method is completely secure.
16. Third-party services and sub-processors
QuoteByte may rely on third-party services to provide, secure, improve and support the service.
These may include providers for:
- hosting;
- database storage;
- authentication;
- payment processing;
- email delivery;
- analytics;
- error monitoring;
- AI processing;
- security;
- customer support;
- website hosting;
- infrastructure.
Our current or expected providers are listed in our Sub-processor List.
Third-party services may have their own terms, policies and security practices. We are not responsible for third-party services except to the extent required by law.
17. Stripe and payment processing
QuoteByte may use Stripe or another payment provider to process subscriptions and billing.
Your use of payment features may be subject to the payment provider’s terms.
If QuoteByte later enables users to accept payments from their own customers through Stripe Connect or a similar connected-account payment feature, you may need to accept additional payment provider terms before using that feature.
QuoteByte does not currently provide banking, credit, lending, financial product or payment advice.
18. Beta, trial and experimental features
QuoteByte may release beta, early access, trial, experimental or unfinished features.
These features may:
- change;
- break;
- be removed;
- produce incorrect results;
- have limited support;
- be subject to additional usage limits.
We will take reasonable care, but you use beta and experimental features with an understanding that they may be less reliable than stable features.
19. Product changes and availability
We aim to keep QuoteByte available and useful, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
QuoteByte may be unavailable due to:
- maintenance;
- updates;
- outages;
- hosting issues;
- third-party provider issues;
- security incidents;
- internet or device problems;
- legal or operational requirements.
We may update, improve, modify, rename, replace or remove features from time to time.
Where a material change negatively affects paid users, we will take reasonable steps to provide notice where practical.
20. Intellectual property
QuoteByte, including its software, design, branding, user interface, templates, workflows, documentation, text, graphics and related materials, is owned by us or licensed to us.
You may use QuoteByte only as allowed by these Terms.
You must not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, licence, resell or exploit QuoteByte without our written permission, except where allowed by law.
21. Your content
You retain ownership of the content and information you enter into QuoteByte.
You grant us a limited licence to host, store, process, transmit, display, copy, back up and otherwise use your content as reasonably necessary to:
- provide QuoteByte;
- generate outputs you request;
- secure and maintain the service;
- provide support;
- troubleshoot issues;
- comply with law;
- improve QuoteByte, where permitted by our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for ensuring your content does not infringe any third-party rights.
22. Feedback
If you provide feedback, suggestions, ideas, bug reports or improvement requests, you allow us to use them to improve QuoteByte without payment or obligation to you.
This does not transfer ownership of your business data or customer data to us.
23. Suspension and termination
We may suspend, restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary if:
- you breach these Terms;
- payment fails and remains unresolved;
- we reasonably suspect misuse, fraud or security risk;
- your use creates risk for QuoteByte, other users, customers or third parties;
- we are required to do so by law;
- we discontinue the service.
Where practical and appropriate, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
We may act immediately where necessary to protect security, prevent harm, comply with law or prevent serious misuse.
You may stop using QuoteByte at any time.
24. Data export and account closure
Where available, QuoteByte may allow you to export certain business records.
You are responsible for exporting information you need before closing your account or ending your subscription.
After account closure, we may delete, retain or de-identify information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, Data Retention Statement, legal obligations, security needs, backup processes and legitimate business purposes.
25. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuoteByte is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee that QuoteByte will:
- be uninterrupted;
- be error-free;
- meet every business need;
- produce perfect documents;
- prevent user error;
- comply with every industry requirement;
- replace professional advice;
- recover all lost data;
- be compatible with every device, browser or workflow.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified by law.
26. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or economic loss, including loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, goodwill, data, customers, contracts or business interruption.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to QuoteByte or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid to QuoteByte in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law.
Where we are permitted by law to limit a remedy for failure to comply with a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited, at our option, to resupplying the service or paying the cost of resupplying the service.
27. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against loss, damage, cost or expense arising from:
- your breach of these Terms;
- your unlawful or negligent use of QuoteByte;
- content or information you enter into QuoteByte;
- documents you generate, send or rely on;
- your dealings with customers;
- your breach of law;
- your infringement of third-party rights.
This indemnity applies only to the extent the loss, damage, cost or expense was caused or contributed to by you.
28. Disputes
If a dispute arises, both parties agree to first try to resolve it in good faith.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent legal relief where necessary.
29. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
The parties submit to the courts of Queensland, Australia, except where another law gives you rights to bring a claim elsewhere.
30. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
The updated version will be posted on the QuoteByte website with a new effective date.
If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users where practical.
Your continued use of QuoteByte after updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
If you do not agree to updated Terms, you may stop using QuoteByte and cancel your subscription.
